Design shard is my personal blog where i post design related content that I find around the Internet, This may consist of a group of tutorials that I find particularly interesting, screenshots of web sites for inspiration or my own personal work.

I created Texture Lovers as a way to organise and categorise textures that have been released for free by people on other blogs making them much easier to find.

The site is aimed at Photographers, Web Designers and Graphic artists but could actually be used by many other disciplines such as 3D artists.

Design Shards is a showcase concept with many different categories, it has a clean / grunge design using crumpled and stained paper textures; it also has hand drawn elements such as the logo.

A portfolio concept for displaying work with a simple two-column design it bears an elegant worn look with sidebar navigation, image previews of work as well as descriptions with the option to read more or visit the category that it was published under.

The Pioneer is a clean and minimal style concept based on the layout of news papers with several columns at either side of the main content, this concept is initially for content heavy blogs and sites that want to display as many articles as possible on the home page.

Activate is a clean blog concept that would use jQuery in the sidebar to switch between certain tabs such as popular and recent articles. This type of design can handle large amounts of content on the home page posts that use images and text.

Neptune is a concept that has been influenced by digital art, using smoke and galaxy textures to achieve a unique backdrop for the content.
